Most fiber construction breakdowns trace back to the same root cause. A project gets split across separate vendors for drilling, placement, and splicing, and each crew only understands their own piece of the job. The plan looks complete on paper, but the field is a different animal, and the people executing it rarely have the full context to catch a problem before it becomes expensive.
Mike Jauca, founder of MJ Data Optics, built the company around closing that gap. With hands-on experience across drilling, fiber placement, splicing, and testing, Mike is the one who holds the complete picture of a project, from the original plan through the field conditions that plan didn't fully account for. He doesn't need to be on every job site running the day-to-day work. His role is to facilitate the solution when something in the field doesn't match the plan, because he understands what each phase of the build needs from the others.
That is the difference our clients are actually paying for. Not just a contractor who can drill, splice, and test, but one whose leadership understands how those phases connect, and can solve a problem at the point it happens instead of letting it get passed down the line until it becomes someone else's costly surprise.
Our Mission
At MJ Data Optics, our mission is to build fiber networks right the first time, by making sure one team holds the full picture from plan to tested result. We believe most fiber construction problems come from a gap, between what a plan accounts for and what the field actually requires, and our job is to close that gap before it costs our clients time or money. That commitment drives every project we take on, from initial drilling to final splice testing.
Our Values:
Foresight: We catch what the plan can't show until it meets the field, before it becomes a delay or a change order.
Ownership: One team carries a project from drilling through tested splice, so the person solving a problem is the same one who will live with the result.
Accuracy: Every link we build gets verified with OTDR and OLTS testing, not assumed to work because it was installed correctly.
Accountability: When something doesn't go as planned, we don't point to another vendor's scope. We fix it.
